Hello, my name is Kelsey Crafton, a therapist dedicated to creating a caring and validating environment for you, especially during life’s challenging moments. I want to emphasize that you are the expert of your experiences, and I am here to help you embrace your authentic self, develop goals that fit your life and foster a relationship with you grounded in trust and acceptance.

Whether you are an individual struggling, a couple looking to strengthen your bond, or a family navigating challenges, my aim is to provide a supportive space where you can explore your needs, overcome obstacles, strengthen your relationships, and discover tools to enhance your overall well-being.

I hold a Master’s in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling and a graduate level certificate in Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. I have also completed the Gottman Level 1 Couples Therapy training to further my ability to bolster relationships. I am currently an Associate Licensed Counselor under the supervision of Charlotte Daughhetee, Ph.D., LPC-S, LMFT-S, NCC.

My areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, grief and loss, attachment issues, relationship and interpersonal issues, couples/marriage problems, polyamory and alternative relationship structures, and gender or sexual identity exploration. I offer interventions and techniques from therapeutic approaches including person-centered, family systems, narrative, somatic, art therapy, existentialism, emotionally focused couples therapy, the Gottman Method, and acceptance commitment therapy.
