Frannie Horn

Licensed Professional Counselor

As humans, we navigate what can feel like an unsteady and confusing world. We may find ourselves needing to manage difficult situations or feel adrift within our own lives. Therapy can help you organize your thoughts, identify goals, and make decisions about the best way forward. I use individual therapy processes based on what works best for you, using techniques that include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), emotionally focused therapy (EFT) and solution focused brief therapy.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Nationally Certified Counselor and a certified Clinical Telemental Health provider. I hold a graduate certificate in Marriage, Family and Couples Counseling, have completed UAB's Psychosocial Oncology Training Program, am a facilitator of the Prepare/Enrich premarital and marital curriculum and have extended training in reproductive mental health. I enjoy working with older adults and anyone who works in a caregiving capacity.

Prior to becoming a counselor, I practiced law in a variety of family and social justice settings. I see adults, families, and couples and offer late afternoon and Saturday appointments.
